  • No, but a lot of us seem to be wired to fear being alone. It's a primal survival instinct. Some seem to clutch any relationship they have, good or bad.
  • Not just the fear of being alone, but I think it's also the fear of failure.No one wants to admit that they chose the "wrong" person. I don't think we are "wired" for staying in bad relationships though...most people can only take it for so long.... the divorce rate wouldn't be at 50% and getting higher. Humans are known for being fickle, and aren't exactly "wired" for monogamy.

  • Good question keithold. I think we're wired to become attached to people, because we don't want to be alone. There are also emotional complications.
