A five year old article? The point is that Israel wants foreign workers but doesn't want immigrants from foreign countries. One thing that most people don't think about is when you have a Jewish father and a non Jewish mother, the child can be rejected as not being Jewish. In religions where it flows from the father, the child is rejected for not being that other religion, creating a child with no identity. It's been a problem in a number of cases and has a high suicide rate.
