  • height is all genetics.. looking at your parents.. maybe your grand parents.. you'll have an idea of how tall you might be.. im tall for an asian, but not tall for a asian in canada lol, what i know are things that helped Me grow taller.. i mean.. i may have had a growth spurt when i began taking up a diet trying to keep a strict schedule.. but ill tell you anyways.. most of it is common sense (i know my observations and "Feelings" about something aren't very helpful, but there is no.. proven way.. to get taller..) first, is Sleep more.. sleep 8/9 hours a night.. when you stand, gravity is compresing your spine, not by a lot, but you can meassure the difference in your height when compared to the moment your about to sleep and when you wake (you get shorter throughout the day..) take calcium supplements.. the reason you want to sleep for 8/9 hours is because your body grows best when your resting.. and since your 16, a lot is happening in your body, so rest more. Stop drinking anything that has caffine in it.. (i've stopped drinking carbonated drinks for 2 years.. this doesn't mean it helped me get taller.. but i FEEL it helps..) theres some science behind caffine making you shorter, im not going to look for a source, just take my word for it.. (some chemicals in coke take up space in the bone.. so calcium can't build into it or on to it, drinking too many carbonated drinks can make your bones brittle as you grow older) Calcium supplements - well.. if you don't drink milk everyday. I don't think its proven it helps you grow taller.. but it can't hurt.. and most of us don't get enough calcium anyways. Play Basketball, Volleyball, or Swim.. this is the only thing i know, and although isn't proven, i KNOW these sports will contribute to your height.. the more you play, and play a lot, you will notice, but you must stick with it, you have to stick with these excersices.. or keep to a schedule atleast.. it takes time.. don't just follow it for a week and expect results.. you might get some.. you might not.. but you have to let your body know what your trying to do

  • Being 5'4 is a great height for a female dont worry about it.I bet you are even taller than some of your friends at school. Just look at your parents has it gives you a rough idea of what you could be.At 5'4 you are taller than me and i am way older 5'2 in fact.
  • Eat your vegetables. ^_^ No, really. EAT YOUR VEGETABLES!!! XD
  • Take a daily multivitamin and drink your milk (or take lots of calcium/magnesium supplements). You might be finished growing. Or maybe not. NBA great David Robinson was 6ft 6 in, the max allowed in the US Armed Forces, when he joined the Naval Academy after high school. But he grew 4 inches that summer !!! And he led Navy to 4 great years of NCAA basketball before fulfilling his service obligation and joining the NBA. Oh, and if you smoke cigarettes, stop now. They DO stunt your growth.
  • hi girl!! im noor and 16 yrs old.dear!! im also 5'4.Girls call me heighty bcoz 5'4 height is gr8.so just chill out n dont worry . say thnxx to God tht He Has given u such a nice height
  • Why should you wish to increase your height? And besides which, you have probably not stopped growing yet.
  • You are not done growing, but that height is very normal and average for a 16 year old. Don't worry; girls grow untill they are 21 years old (hense the legal drinking age)
  • I think thats a good height I'm 5ft4 and im 19 :D
  • measure your height then... bend down and touch your toes. take three big breaths as you straighten you legs, then stand up and and look at yourself in the mirror suck your belly in and raise your chest / breast bone as you breathe in, elevating your head but not your shoulders. you will find that your pelvis may want to move backwards slightly as you do this. when you feel you at full hieght, lightly lock your abs and keep your chest in the same place as you breathe out - don't drop your breast bone down. you will now find that it is easier to breathe and turn your neck and most of all, you have immediatley raised your hieght. measure and see how right I am. the big problem that affects many people is that they get caught in a poor posture cycle and slouch causing the chest to drop and the neck to crane forward. this gives you a slight belly protrusion and a loss of hight sometimes as much as two inches.
