  • I dont actually know if big corporations are profiting from the sale of che guevara t-shirts, but i'd put my money on it! One of the most distressing, ironic things about fashion and popular culture is the mainstreaming of things that attempt to contradict the meanings of these corporations, for example the punk movement was (amongst other things) about the cheap customisation of fashion to stand against the capitalist fashion system, as were ripped jeans, bodyshop, fair trade coffee. These things on the outskirts of culture are turned into a niche market, sold for their 'cool' value to people buying into a trend, ultimately benefiting the big corporations. che guevara t-shirts are not on sale to spread the message that capitalism is bad, they are on sale to make capitalist profits. hopefully, the people wearing these tshirts should realise this irony...
  • It's pretty ironic that anyone profits from the sale of those shirts. One way of thinking about it is that wearing one is the ultimate insult to a cruel murderer.
  • I got mine from A.N.S.W.E.R. look em' up. They are for the freedom of the poor and oppressed, just like Che'. It's scary how many ignorant people spout off on Che' Guverra, but think that George Bush was a great patriot...turn off Faux and read a book!
