  • okay so here is what really happened, they never give you enough room to type a full question. some neighbor called the cops and said a purple alero was tearing up the town, squeeling tires, speeding, and blowing stop signs..that is what the dispatch report said anyway. so a cop comes to my house and issues my son a 106.00 ticket for failure to obey stop sign. because the neighbor said it was my son that was driving the purple alero. The ticket the cop wrote says a tan aurora because I don't have a purple alero and neither does my son but he still got cited because of what the neighbor said he saw and says he has other witnesses that saw it to. Should I fight this??
  • yes, any miswritten tickets can be faught and easily won... unless the judge is really on your case
  • If at all possible I think so. I don't know enough about the law to intelligently advise you but that sounds like a load of it. Also you can request that the cop attend the hearing. Many times cops don't want to bother showing so the charges are dropped. (If you ask the cop to show and he doesn't they have to drop charges, I think. Usually a small traffic violation isn't worth the court's time to reschedule the hearing many times) The reason you can ask the cop to be there is about the right to face your accuser. Good luck : )
