Yes I have. Hundreds of times over 20+ years actually, although ~150 episodes were with one particular woman over a 6-month period. She had never thought about using handcuffs as part of foreplay until she asked me: "What arouses you most?" I told her and she found that she liked having me "under control," and also liked being helpless and ravished. Handcuffs became a regular and integral part of our sex lives. We would take turns cuffing, uncuffing, and recuffing each other multiple times in a given night. She never said no to using the cuffs -- cuffing me, or being cuffed by me. Other partners have not been quite as accommodating, however. Now, though, I have found that I prefer rope. Cuffs are fast and easy, and they also look nice with the shiny metal. It's easy to make the cuffs not too tight and not too loose. I still have 4 sets of handcuffs and two sets of ankle cuffs (referring to metal police restraints). But ropes are cheaper and much more versatile. Ropes also give a sense of compresssion that cuffs do not. Cuffs that are tight and compressing just plain hurt. Ropes can be very comfortable even if they are snug and tight. And once cuffs are on... they are on. Unless you're willing to break something, you can't just slip out of cuffs. I suppose that could be an advantage, being completely at your partner's mercy, with no hope for escape until he/she decides to use the key. But it just does not pay to actively struggle against handcuffs. Struggling against rope ties, on the otherhand, is fun and rewarding. It gives you something physical and tactile and sensual to do, all the while remaining quite helpless. And of course it is possible to escape from rope ties without breaking anything. It may take a frustratingly and tantalizingly long time, but in fact that becomes part of the game. Saying to your partner (or having your partner say to you): "I'm not gonna do XXXXX no matter how much you beg... UNTIL you get loose! If you're still bound after 30 mintues, I'm just gonna leave!" can really amp up the arousal.
