You have to hit it once each with a fire, ice, and lightning spell.

To add to Beetle's answer, you also need to hit it with the wane magicka spell.

you need to hit it with fire,ice, sever magicka, and restore magicks. (in that order)

hit it wit fire frost severe and restore magika ... and wtf is wane magika ...
