  • The click is the starter solenoid trying to engage the starter motor. The starter motor is probably bad.
  • First, calm the hell down. Take off the caps lock and type like an adult. If you are hearing a single click, it could be a sign of a bad starter as 'steelstr45' mentioned. If you are hearing several clicks, it could be a sign of a dead battery. You say you have lights and radio, but are the lights dim or full power? The best way to test for a dead battery is to boost the car. If the boost doesn't let it start, then chances are the starter is gone. Hope you have a good warranty if that's the case. Cheers.
  • Check out the battery. Have your nearest acura replace. It happend to my 2004 and my 2007. They are under warrantee
  • It's that starter relay under the dash! Or they used the wrong grade of oil and in sub zero temps you have just ceased your entire engine into a solid mass!
  • 1 1/2 years ago, hmmm...are you blonde by any chance?
  • Deady battery. If the battery is three years old, a cell has probably died. Not holding a charge is a sure sign. Time to replace it.
  • Before you do any other thing mentioned checked the cables on the battery for being tight. You can get lights, radio, ect and still not have a good enough connection for starter to hit. Then try the rest mentioned.
  • main problem is its an acura. other then that u prob got a dead battery which usually results from a bad alternator.
  • Clicking is usually an indication that your battery is not holding enough juice to turn the car over. That could be a result of a battery that needs replacing especially if it is older than 4 or 5 years. Have a mechanic check the battery and they should be able to tell you if it just needs a jump or is shot.
