The vista drivers work for xp. Yes, it's a gimmick. You can also use any of the x24 series drivers available for XP.

You're reading Hwy would a lexmark x2480 not be compatible with windows xp but only with vista? is this some sort of marketing gimmick?- no drivers avail from lexmark for my xp system..hmmmmm?
