My parents were REALLY bad "packrats" and I used to get on to them about saving so much "useless" stuff. I recently had to remodel my home, which made it necessary to move most of my belongings from one place to another (and back). I realized I was nearly as bad as they were! Its now a constant fight (with myself) to decide what I really need to hold on to & what to get rid of. SO much (unnecessary??)stuff!!!! LOL

I was brought up to re-use things as much as feasible. Because of that, I find it very hard to discard things. I used to be a packrat, but since I am now retired, I have become a "hoarder" instead. I think only young people are allowed to be packrats.
