  • get over it, you need to balance your checkbook. Otherwise cash or a money order. Or a giftcard.
  • if you balanced your checkbook correctly you wouldn't have that problem, so why would you be mad at her...?
  • I understand why you would be mad. Your mother shouldn't have told you she wouldn't cash it. If she really wasn't going to cash it, she should have given it back for you to void. However, if you are unsure in the future, a good option might be to write a note above your signature line. "Void if not cashed in XX days" You could make it any number of days you want. The bank, (assuming they are paying attention) should see the note and not cash the check past that date. If they do and it overdrafts your account, go to the bank manager, show him/her a copy of the canceled check and ask for the overdraft fees to be refunded. If there is no void notice, the check will be good for six months from the date it was written.
  • I don't really think you should be mad. Not unless you asked your mum to cash it immediately. You should check your bank statements.
  • With all that is going on that's something you should stay on top of. Online I check my accounts everyday times I have found charges that were not mind. I think it was a case of someone having a number close to mine. To easy to miss if you don't watch
  • If you already figured it in to your account, why are over? You should have had an excess for the last three months until she actually cashed it.
