Have you ever gone into a gun shop and been ignored just because you don't look like the typical gun enthusiast?

I go with my boyfriend and the guys behind the counter usually double-take. I guess not many girls go with their guys to a gun shop, yay I'm a rarity! :)

I went into a shop one time, trying to get a feel for the price range of pistols. Browsing around the display cases, I wasn't even so much as greeted. At that point I realized that they obviously didn't need my business.

What does the typical gun enthusiast look like? We come in all shapes, colors, and sizes. It sounds like the shop you were in the employee (or owner, but he's really just YOUR employee as the customer) was just rude which does happen. My 'toys' are not cheap and I am familiar with the price ranges (gun shops are like car dealerships, you can dicker a bit) and willing to pay a little more for good service. Should the person not feel I am worth his time to make a little money, I will take my money to someone else.
