If by chips you mean what USA calls french fries, some like gravy, but most probably choose ketchup. Boardwalk fries, from the beach or carnival, get vinegar sprinkled all over them. Some people here even like Blue Cheese Dressing or mayonnaise on their fries!

(answer your question?) --------------------------- If you don't really mean 'chips', how do I know you really mean 'gravy'? -------------------------------- You can't go by 'some people'. Some people put maple syrup on their fries, so what? No one I know likes anything but ketchup on their fries. Distant 2nd is vinegar. Your answer as far as America goes, is no.

Yes, I Know they make Poutine in Quebec Canada:-) It's fries, cheese curds and gravy and tastes terrific!!!
