Personally I prefer the east coast of Sardinia but there is a great bed and breakfast near Alghero that I know of called the Countryside. We have also stayed at the second place shown on the Best Sardinian Beach site http://www.my-italy-piedmont-marche-and-more.com/villas-holidays-sardinia.html . This was really great, near Alghero and reasonable.
