First off, are you seeing results? Changing your routine may be part of the answer as your body does develop an affinity for your current routine and it really does start to lose effectiveness. I have heard recommendations in changing your routine anywhere from between 1 to 3 months. You may be overworking your muscles just a bit, though. Working so many muscle groups each work out day can be bad as you are working the entire body at once and giving no group a chance for full rest or recovery. Additionally, do consider your diet and cardiovascular activity. You could bench twice what Mr. Universe can but if you're loading up on Quarterpounders with cheese and a Super Size Fries, you won't be stripping fat away from your body to reveal your hard work (and you may be wreaking havoc on your heart.) Cardio also plays a role as too much cardio will strip fat but it will also strip muscle and muscle is a metabolic tissue so losing muscle may incur a downward metabolic trend. Maintain a good balance of rest, cardio, and weights. Sleep well, eat properly and keep up the good work!

Thanks dude. I've seen great progress. I started out at 125x1 max for bench and am now stuck at 185x2. All the other muscle groups are going very well. I was just worried I was overworking things. Is it best to just do one muscle group a week? For example, do pecs and lats on M, biceps and triceps on W, and legs on F? Or something like that? Re: cardio... I run 2-3 miles and play various sports 3-4 times a week. So I don't think that's an issue. Really appreciate the help! Any suggestions?

hell yeah you are doing too much! What happens is when you do your bench press at 125 lbs. you have a certain of stress to your muscles but your body deals with it by making you sronger. So each time you go to the gym you lift heavier and also at the same time you put more stress on your body. Untill you get so strong that you have caused so much stress on your body it can not heal itself at the same amount of rest. For you it is 185 lbs. So what you body needs is more rest and you will start getting stronger! So you should add just one day of rest and keep doing your same routine untill you stop getting stronger and then add another day untill you reach once a week training. Then you can change routine. I have a great workout were I am working each muscle with four days of rest. I am getting stronger each workout every week.
