I've often wondered that myself. I would say no except for their own parts because any scene with a kid can't be to morally wrong. Maybe the R is just for language. In which case I would say yes. Ask Linda Blair.

Not in a cinema - but movie ratings apply only to public exhibitions. It would be illegal to take one of those child actors into a public cinema. But it would not be illegal for them to see it in a private showing at the studio.

Is a child seeing an R rated movie really illegal, I mean can parents be charged with something if caught? I always thought it was just a kind of guideline not a 'law'
