Hitler didn't really choose to hate Jewish people; it was more of the country that hated them. See, at that time, Germany's economy was a complete wreck. They're money was completely worthless. For example, a loaf of bread could cost around 15 million of their currency. This was so because the government kept printing off money because they thought it would help solve the problem. Eventually, the blame was set on the Jewish people because they were the only ones left to blame. When Hitler rose up to power, he needed something to promise to the people. He promised them a stronger economy, and he promised to end the problem. To him, one of the problems was the Jewish.

When Hitler was 18 years old his mother died of breast cancer. He was already an emotionally disturbed,xenophobic,misfit. His mother was the only person he ever loved. He was traumatized by his mother's death. After she died,the doctor who treated her sent his family a medical bill. The doctor was Jewish. In Vienna he saw Jews living successfully,while he lived in poverty. In his distorted logic he projected all the ills of society upon this ethnic group. They destroyed what he loved,then exploited him.

I heard that Germany was having importing/exporting issues taxing after the first war. Most people who were taxing Germans owned companies happened to be Jewish. So the economy was designed to keep Germans in a passive state. So when Hitler rolled in with his pro German attitude, the timing was right. A breathe of fresh air for German people who had suffered. Unfortunately, his method was brutal to many innocent people. I'm not saying I'm right, just sharing. :)

If you read the book by Viktor Frankl then you will understand the workings of mankind. It is not because you are german or jew. People are like this all around the world. (not everybody). It just takes a genious and a few idiots to carry and seek a wasted journey.

When Hitler was elected an the Furher and was in charge of Germany, he needed scapegoats. Germany was in ruins; the economy was horrible and the inflation rate was huge. Germany was failing as a country and Hitler needed to put the blame on someone, and he chose the Jews. The Jews at that time were wealthy and envied by the Germany population. They were a perfect target, and Hitler and his Nazi party blamed them for everytime. Hitler's antisemeticism also helped in brainwashing people to blame the Jews for the depression. So in a way, Hitler used the jews as scapegoats, and subtle fullfilled his hatred towards them.
