Help answer this question below.
almost 14 years. It's been so easy too. The first month was the hardest, smooth sailing after that.
26 years and counting! From birth really... :D
For the better part of five years.
yep - 6 months.
Almost my entire life.
My family eats meat, so I grew up with it but I would hide it and throw it away (pretending to eat it).
Veggies taste better and are kinder and healthier.
Yes, I have been a vegetarian for over 13 years. It has been one of the easiest things for me to do.
No, I am not a vegetarian.
I am 24 years old.
Yes, I became a vegetarian when I was ten and I have been one for five years now.
i've been veggie since 1998
i'm vegetarian, im 13 and i've been vegetarian for about 4 years now. :)
Yes, for 27 years now.
Yeah, since I was 10. I'm 20 now. My reason is that I think as a species as "advanced" as ours i.e. having computers and factories and stuff, that we can easily eat other things to get the nutrients we eat meat for, so we don't have to resort to killing. Other animals that are predators are not as developed in this way (I don't like thinking humans are superior), so they can't do this.
Yes...since 1999.
Yes I am, have been vegetarian for 24 years (I'm 36 now)
Yes, for 27 years now.
Yup. Have been for several years. My health has greately improved, I've lost weight, gained muscles, have a much easier time working out, have tons more energy, and much more.
yeah since noon had a salad now im back to steak
Yes I am. Since 1997. Wasnt too hard either. Stricly veggie tho. So no flesh.
I've been a vegetarian for coming on 21 years now. I was raised that way. And yes, I got plenty of protein and had no nutritional problems.
I've been a vegetarian since January 22, 2008. I remember because it was two days after my best friend's birthday--and two days after I tried sushi for the first, and last, time. I've always wanted to be vegetarian, but it wasn't until one of my coworkers said she'd become one I realized it was my chance. Before I never had any money and was forced to succumb to whatever food Mom cooked (she puts meat in everything she eats--I wish that was an exaggeration). Now I can just buy my own food. The first few months were difficult. I used to dream of eating meat and woke up panicking because the dreams were so realistic. I've grown more in tune with my body, though. I can tell when I'm hungry or just thirsty (though I love to eat), I can tell when my stomach almost refuses to digest a food (usually dairy; I'm lactose intolerant now). Subsequently I can tell when my stomach is digesting food. I don't eat both veggies and fruits every day (more often than not I'll eat veggies, beans, noodles--I don't really like fruit), so when I feel a little off, I can just look at my eating habits and tell myself what I'm missing so I can balance myself out.
I heart peanut butter cookies :D
Yes. Since i was seven.
Ive been a vegetarian for teo years now. It kind of sucks not being able to eat gummy candy or starburst, but that was one of the main reasons i became an vegetarian.
To become healthier, slimmer, and thats eliminated alot of junk food.
i have been a vegi for nine months now and feeling good for it. :)
There was one year of my life where I could tell people "I'm a vegeterian!"
I think I was about 10, my Mom decided to put the whole family on a vegetarian/macrobiotic diet for one year as an experiment. I made some interesting discoveries, food-wise, but ultimately, we all ended up missing meat too much to stick with it. I'm really glad too... I love meat.
Nope, but I'm going to try it one day
Vegan for 16 mo.; egg and dairy vegetarian for about 6 mo. before that. I wish I did it earlier.
I become vegeterian in summer and slighly turn back to normal diet in winter. Body needs anytype of food so we musnt stick to one type of diet.
i'm not really a meat eater although my family sometimes pressure you into eating it....
No, my physician recommended against it. I don't like meat, but I eat what I can without being sick. I cannot eat any meat if I can see the bones, viens, skin, etc.
god no, i would hate being a vegetarian.
No, can't say that I am. If it's on a plate, I'll eat it.
I think it has been 4 or 5 months:):) But I am the vegetarian that still eats eggs and drinks milk:( I am not totally animal free:( I feel bad about that, but I do not eat chickens, beef, cattle, goat, veil, seafood(although I just love scallops and mussles)..it is really hard for me:):) But I consider it fasting for the people who do not:):) Just one small change works..sometimes:):)
Yes, about three years.
I've been vegan since September 17, 2008.
Yes, I've been a vegetarian for 11 years now and it was entirely my choice.
Yup, i'm 17 and i've been a vegetarian for about 6 years, and a on again off again vegan.
No, but when I was about 10-11 I had refused to eat meat. I love filet mignon etc. Nevertheless, sometimes when I eat meat that has a lot of fat, I get rather grossed out and think about the fact that I am eating an animal and can't eat. I can't eat at certain restaurants, especially Mexican (although I like Mexican food) when I think about how they use the same grill to cook tongue, brains, etc. I think about becoming a vegetarian, but I am afraid of not getting enough protein in my diet and the inconvenience of it is enough to not go through with it.
No
Yep, for 3 years and 6 months.
i was when i was 8 but i hated it and gave up meat is addicting.
yeah, about 10years, not really been counting lol
People who don't know about the benefits of being a vegetarian or vegan versus eating meat, don't realize that if intelligently informed, you look better, younger and feel better. I read where someone had a concern about lack of protein if they didn't eat meat, but they are so wrong! You go back in history and find that the practice of eating meat began after the flood. The Bible states that God allowed it to shorten the days of human beings. Before the flood, people lived up to close to 1000 years. Methusalem lived the longest and Adam lived closed to 1000 years also. After the flood, the days of mankind were shortened extremely considerably.
i am open to eating vegetarian. i dont mind wrapping my mouth around a big mac once in a while. or getting sausage with my eggs and pancakes. prime rib, who can say no to prime rib? its a day to day thing.
No, not anymore. I was for about two years back in college, but, oneday a hamburger pissed me off so ate it.
Yes I'm a vegetarian... since I was about 9
..i went veg at 14..i would have sooner ..but my family all eats meat..and thinks im crazy lol..but ive been a vegetarian for 2 yrs now..and a vegan for about ..3 months..and i cant imagine going back..lol..being veg is the best thing i could have done..
My entire life.
I wish,
I have tried to be one when I'm 16, but only stayed for 1 week O______O. Afterwards, don't even think about it.
I tried to be one when I was a few years younger.
Was eating only veggies and soy food. But somehow after being 2 years a vegetarian and marrying my wife who is such a good cook I realized one day that I am eating fish
