It may be a bit ignorant of me to ask this, but --- How possible is it to get herpes from someone you live with (like a family member)?

herpes is a virus that is spread from the blister wich ich and is then spread where the liquid has touched. how long is the herpes virus active outside the body? thats what you have google for. but i do know that close contact(touching area with breakout,touching something that has come in contact with it-towel,toilet seat,the dirty hands of person with herpes) can put you at risk. use contact precausions wash hands alot...ext... good luck with that.

towels most likely if you share. thats why i get a new one every time because i know my brother is sexually active, I am, and my mom might be too who knows. my mom bitches at me for it but I'll take health over keeping her quiet and I'm sure she'd thank me if i got herpes or something unfortunate (even though i use condoms every time) ok now I'm just rambeling...
