  • Some prefer them over steel and/or leather steering wheels. It might have something to do with the fact that a lot of older car models had them . . .
  • I can't imagine. I think they look and feel horrible.
  • Nothing, it's just supposed to be a luxury thing to try and make the car seem higher class. I don't like it personally.
  • They don't seem to get as hot in the sun. Where I live if you have gray or black interior you might have to wait to drive when you first get in, because the wheel if so freaking hot.
  • They may look good but what would happen if you get into an accident and the starts on fire, and the steering wheel burns up. How will you drive home?
  • the vehicle is so, so metal. having wood under your hands for steering gives the whole vehicle an aura of life.
  • You have obviously never seen a truly fine Mahogany steering wheel in a nice custom car. The wheel in my 1940 LaSalle is a very made of this fine wood and is a very close replica of the original wheel. It is made by Grant and cost around $350. Would you rather have some cheap piece of plastic or an exotic wood?
  • They match nicely the wood grain sides on the Jeep Wagoneer.
  • if u from housotn every1s grippin grain, its a life style. Alot of houston sounds have references to wood grain. Listen to some thugga or some Paul Wall and ull want some grain
