When you asking a question, do you believe that it's the answers job to agree with you, or are you opened minded enough to accept their point of view?

I wouldn't bother asking a question if I just wanted my own point of view repeated.

No, I don't expect any one to agree, but at the same time I don't like getting downrated when I disagree. It's a two way street.

Honest answers, intelligent conversation, and open-minded discussion/debate for me please. I only downrate for ignorance, irrelevance and outright offensiveness.

Absolutely not. I try not to phrase questions in a way that express my opinion when asking for that of others for starters. People are entitled to their opinion and should be able to answer honestly. I am definitely open minded and have no problem with people disagreeing with my opinion when I ask such questions.

I certainly do not expect people to agree with me. I ask an opinion question to get other peoples opinions. I sincerely believe that everyone has a right to their own opinion , no matter how diverse it may be with my own

I am looking for different point of views. I wouldn't ask if I didn't have some doubts about my own views or interest in others.

The thing to keep in mind is that we are here to help those who ask questions by answering to the best of our ability. Not to judge or belittle the asker. If the answer is not answering the question or offering help it is best not to answer. Help, does not mean be a smart-ass and tell them they need to learn how to ask or spell. When I ask a question I am seeking answers to my question that will educate me or give me good information from other members. If I want an educated answer I will go find me a professor on a subject. The answer does not have to agree with me just answer the question I ask without judging me.

I believe that if a person is going to downrate you then they should answer your question also. I have a recently asked question where I've gotten 8 points downrated but not one answer.

Often I already have an opinion when I ask a question. Sometimes I don't. I'm here asking because I want other points of view or to poll people to see if others think/ do the same things, or to get advice. I don't want people to just agree with me. I wish everyone would answer before reading the other responses too sometimes
