Is there anybody out there that accepts jury duty as part of their civic responsibility?

Yes I take it very seriously. I might moan and complain like many others but I believe it is an honor and a priveledge to be able to be called to take part in the judicial process in this great land of ours.

I served on jury before and really liked it. Got to send some slime up the river for a few decades.

I've never been asked. I think the U.S. judicial system knows better than to ask me!!! :-P

Yes, I do. I hate it when my number is called up and the aggravation of sitting around but I do respect this system.

Yes...I believe it is our civil duty. However, as a self-employed person in a one-person business, the economical impact is HUGE and I think there should be some compensatory mechanism so that people are not penalized financially for doing ther duty. The daily stipend paid in Canada isn't enough to pay for parking plus dinner plus baby-sitters.

Yes, I would if I were called for jury duty. I have only been called twice. Once, I was medically unable to do so. The other time, it was a case that I was dismissed from due to my knowing a party involved.

jury duty is one of the fun things we get to do. i try and have fun. i made it to the jury box and got excused.
