Here's the best advice for writing good answers: http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/138108 Some other things would be to be respectful of other people's opinions, to discuss without denigrating and ridicule. No name-calling as that will get you tossed in the Penalty Box. Be generous with your points and with your comments. They will help you to enjoy the place more and people will enjoy your visits more. Do not retaliate in any way. Just ignore.

I, personally, give points to EVERY question I answer, to EVERY person who answers one of my questions, (whether I agree or not), and I very seldom (if ever) downrate, (maybe for profanity or bullying, but even at that, I've only DR'd someone maybe twice in almost 2 years)! Too many people take downrating way too personally. Just be honest and sincere, and you should be okay! Welcome!
