As we become more and more protective of everything, it is said that a dog should not eat any bone as it may shatter and the shards will get into the intestines. If you want to give your dog a bone, we used to use soup bones which, if I recall, were big, round and very resistent to shattering.

Never give your dog ANY cooked bones.. I give my dogs Raw bones, but a t-bone is a little small (i guess it depends on the breed). If your dog is going to crunch right through it, I suggest raw with meat on it to help cover it, if you have like a little chi or something then you could give it without meat, just make sure your dog isn't taking bit chunks of it off at a time.

Only if it's still raw. In fact, it's not really good to give your dog anything that's been seasoned and cooked (plain boiled rice excluded). Their bodies are meant for raw meats.

Large Marrow bones are good for dogs . Smaller bones can splinter and cut the throat or gut. Some dogs cannot digest bones . One of my german Shepherds was not allowed anything but bones to gnaw because she could not digest bones.

That's what we give Bowser once in a while. He doesn't seem to mind.
