No, because there is no such thing as God. Even if there was, why would you want anything to do with an entity that discrimniates in the way you have suggested.

If in your heart you want to follow God, then I don't think you can go wrong.

Like SalientAlien, I think your relationship with God lives in your heart. Religion is a philosophy. Religion is not God. Sometimes it looks nothing like God. I can't imagine God getting angry over this issue in the first place - never mind His anger simmering and spilling over into next week when you go to church. For lack of a better description, God is more mature and understanding than that. Imagine the years of mankind's confusion about religion that He's already seen. It's not as though one religion clearly stands out as THE right one to everyone on Earth - even though most people involved in organized religion promote, "My belief is THE one and only one that God approves of, and if you believe otherwise, you're screwed." When did the concept of free will disappear? Or, in some cases. "Love Your Neighbor"? Perhaps the main idea here is that you're attending church somewhere. I personally believe God sees ceremony, rituals, and doctrine as far less important than people do. He is much more interested in you, the condition of your heart, and how you treat other people than in seeing you jump through the hoops that church leaders deem necessary for salvation. Maybe there is no "wrong religion" as long as God is the focus. I believe the answer to your question is no - God is not angry with you. I hope this helps.

God would definitely be a jerk and not invited to my birthday party if he was like that. I don't think he would hold it against you if you had the right intentions. With that said I think any type of belief system where one is constantly worried about making some guy in the sky angry at them is not worth having, but that is just my opinion.

Actually, what Jesus said in the book of Revelation was something like I wish that you were cold or hot--in other words, better to be very wrong than just apathetic--because if you're just tepid, lukewarm, blase, it makes him want to (literal translation here) "vomit you forth". And in fact in Matthew 23, at a time when most people had nowhere else to go, he recommended that they go listen to the scribes and Pharisees--his worst enemies, the peope who eventually crucified him. After that, of course, he rose from the dead, and seven weeks later the New Testament church began. Some church is better than no church even if it's not the best church.

Religion might best be looked at as a many-spoked wheel. God is the hub. Humanity is the rim. Religions comprise the spokes. If you are honestly and sincerely seeking Truth on your Path, then any church, any mosque, any temple or synagogue, even any religion or lack thereof will do. Religion has more often than not wore a mantel of politicking faith and spirituality. Do you really need a go-between, a middle man, to reach your Creator? I don't think any god would be angry for you going to the wrong church. That would be like a business contact getting angry at you for mistakenly calling his fax number from the business card he gave you last week.

I don't think God has time for this. Lots more important things to do!
-
of course not because he loves everyone!

Only if you believe in organized religion. Or God. Really, it doesn't matter what church you go to. If you believe in God, you know that he knows who you really are, and doesn't care how you worship him.
-
If I got this right, God doesn't care what church you go to as long as you believe! And that goes for all Gods, not just the Christian God!

Only if you are aware of it... I think God holds the "leaders" of so-called religions much more responsible than the "sheep"... Although, I think it behooves the "sheep" to stay away from the "wolves"... Just my opinion
