My Mother

My brothers wife. She was deep down good.

loss of the will to live but I have regained that will and hold on to it tightly

I would have to say my brother. I was only eleven and his passing was so sudden. He was only seventeen. The entire family was in shock for months and months.

My mother. She died in 1999 and it still haunts me.

MY beloved grandmother. Academically she never reached farther than a 6th grade, but had so much wisdom, and patient, care and love. She was awesome. I have never stopped thinking about her.

My most profound loss to date, was the death of my paternal grandfather. Of everyone in my family, and I do mean EVERYONE, he was the one I was always the closest to. He was also, unfortunately, the first to die in my family.

i lost everything in an apartment fire in '94. what hurt most was losing all my artwork and poetry, years and years of work destroyed in a matter of minutes. it was 10 years before i was able to paint, draw or write again, it hurt that bad to lose all that stuff.
