  • In Mississippi you are a minor until age 21. Therefore, you do not have a right to move out without your parents permission until you turn 21. The only exception to that is to get a decree from the court that "removes the disability of infancy." If you want to know more about this, look up Title 93, Chapter 19 of the Mississippi Code. There are about 8 statues there that spell out how to remove some of the limitations to infancy.
  • I hate to answer a question with a question, but.........why would you want to be living at home at 20 years of age? If you can make it on your own, just go !! Despite the law, I'm betting the law won't touch it.
