if they were alive at the time of the postmark it should be a valid vote

Supposing I write you a check today and you deposit it only 10 days later.IF by that time I am dead it does not mean the bank will not honor the check. Similarly if a person casts their ballot and passes away before the counting it does not make their vote invalid.

I think it should (they certainly wont be voting in any future elections).
