  • The SCR will become extremely unhappy and commit suicide when a circuit that it's in will subject it to more than 30 volts Peak Inverse Voltage, or will try to pass more than 0.8 amperes of current through it.   • the 30V 0.8A is the maximum rating that the Silicon-Controlled Rectifier can handle before internal breakdown occurs.
