  • I don't really know, but when I was younger, my brothers and I had rabbits that stayed in the same box and two of them died "mysteriously." lol..I was a bit young to understand, and I still don't really know if that was the cause.
  • The best formula I've heard is to have one more litter box than you have rabbits... that means you should have three... if you have enough room, that is! This refers to house rabbits who generally have run of a whole room at supervised times. In their enclosed area, mine each have their own box, with plenty of hay over top of the litter material (recycled paper pellets). They sit and nibble, relax and snooze; makes sense to have 2 beds for 2 buns. Putting the odd treat in there will encourage them to 'keep up the litter training', too. Best of luck with your bunnies!
  • If the cage is large enough but usually that's not practical. If they are bonded they will usually use the same box or the same corner of the cage, something about the scent draws them there. If it's a larger setting like a house, it's best to have the boxes scattered about but the rabbits do have to be trained as to the locations of the boxes.
