Yes, when it's time for them to stop hurting and they want to be off those awful machines and come home to die peacefully with their family, you bet you think it's good that their pain and suffering is over, even while you cry and cry because you miss them so much:-(

my husbands grandmother. A very sweet person, but after her husband of 49 years died she just didn't want to live anymore and then she had a stroke and was in a nursing home for the last 8 years after her life. She never recovered from the stroke and was in a lot of pain. It was very hard on her son (my father in law) to see her in so much pain and there wasn't anything that could be done.

Yes. There were a few people who tried to make it thier life's goal to make my life miserable. One died of a heart attack, the other in a car crash. It is worth saying that I have struggled for years with not holding a grudge. The best I have managed so far is to upgrade my answer and say that htere are a few people who I wouldn't miss at all. matter of fact, I could care less whether they ever draw another breath. Good riddance.

When heinous criminals are allowed to sit on death row for decades and finally get their due punishment... I feel that justice has been done. As Martha Stewart would say, "It's a good thing".
