I haven't but I have often thought of doing something like that! Good luck!

I am thinking of ... though i have never done so..
-
no...but do it. if you thin it will help then do so...just dont be doing to run away fromyour problems. fix those first then go.

Sometimes a new start with a clean slate is the best way, especially if your present condition is all muddled.

I'm giving extremely serious thought to just the same kind of major life change. Pleasant sailing in your voyages, lad.

I've done that, from Manitoba to here. I left most of my things over there though, and didn't even have a place to be when I got here, but I managed, and it helped. However I'll agree that many times on the trip I was asking myself, what the FUCK am I doing?? Had some bad bouts of anxiety but in the end it worked good enough.

No. But I sure as hell wouldn't mind...

Good for you! But if you have the courage and motivation to pack up and move, why are you planing to go back? You should be looking a head and new roads in your life not planning on how you will get back to the old ones

Not for any length of time. I have babies, so I have to be very careful about what might negatively affect them or upset their sense of security. Usually a drive will help me immensely. I wish you peace :))

Along with my Hubby and son, in (1964) we packed up everything we owned and moved to California, and I have been here ever since. A good friend of mine did that a few months ago, because she was finally ready to let go of the fact that her s/o committed suicide. Right after the one year anniversary of her loss, she moved lock, stock and barrel to St Louis.

Yes I packed a bag of clothes and bought a one way ticket to France. I bummed aruond for a few weeks and finally settled in Bordeaux. It was very worrisome at first and I had no clue what I was doing. But it all worked out in the end. I eventually found a job and an apartment, so it was all good. It can be the best thing you ever did. Good luck!

i ran away from home once.

I did the same thing a few years back. It really put things into perspective. Not much had changed when I got back to Indiana. It's changed a lot since then though.
