Does any get annoyed when they ask a question and it is marked as duplicate when it is a question like "What are your newspaper headlines today?"

It prevents people from asking the same question everyday. If you want to find out, answer the question so it becomes "live" again then other people might also answer so you will get the headlines for that day.

I see your point, but if you want to know what headlines are in everyone's paper today, just answer the question, and get the question recirculated.

I try not to ask those types of questions, but you might try the question below as an alternative to the other suggestions: What are the newspaper headlines today, 22 July 2008? For the love of God don't ask everyday though :) We don't need another series of jump the shark questions.
