One of my sister's good friends adopted a 7yr old girl from Romania. They fell in love with her when they were over there. They also met a little boy who was 2 and had just arrived at the orphange as they were leaving, and soon after their return here they also adopted him. They have travelled back to Romania as a family to visit and keep in touch with their culture and encourage them to learn about their homeland.

Well, the mrs. and I are currently sponsoring a 6 year-old boy from El Salvador. We support him monthly. I know that's not the same as adopting a child, but just knowing that I'm doing something helps I suppose.

Several. A neighbor adopted two sons from Guatemala; a friend adopted a daughter from China; and a second neighbor adopted a daughter (although I'm not sure from what country).
