Please can we have a 'justification box' for those AB'ers who like to DR perfectly reasonable questions, couched in perfectly understandable English? I don't mind if I know why and hopefully, learn from it, but these little spiteful jabs puzzle me. Agree?

They puzzle everyone Kate but there is a reason why they do not allow this. That is because many down-raters for whatever reason do not want retaliation from questions or answers they have rated down. Although many may not retaliate there are some that would and that would start a down-rate war. It is a good thing that the down-rates only effect the question / answer points and not the total points earned. In all honesty those who down-rate only hurt their own percentages and makes them look bad. With all the members against down-rating were to see a down-rate they try to up-rate to counter the attack which will only add more points to your total points. I know you do not mention points and your suggesting this for personal growth reasons which is cool. The staff have to think about all the pro's and con's and seeing that more harm then good would come from our suggestions.
