No - ABSOLUTELY NOT. There is no college or specific curriculum you have to attend, anymore than there is for any other religion. Be wary of anyone who tells you differently. Now, some traditions - Gardnerian, Alexandrian, Isian - are oath-bound traditions. In order to be recognized as an Initiate (member) of any of these traditions, you must be initiated into them by an existing member and coven. Typically, you dedicate yourself to the coven (typically, again, for a year and a day) for study and learning before you are initiated. You must study and learn and meet certain criteria. Some traditions (including Gardner's own) require you to be initiated by an existing member of the opposite sex.
