  • Rubber plants are almost foolproof. It may be pot bound. So if it has been a few years, repot it in a slightly larger pot and loosen the roots and cut up the sides of the rootball to cut any circling roots. Not enough light? They don't need much, just grows slower in low light. It won't produce any side shoots unless it gets a lot of light and fertilizer, otherwise it will just grow tall looking for light. If your watering has been lax it would lose more than just the bottom leaves. Better to water well (until water comes out the bottom of the pot) and then let dry out completely.
