  • Yes, manly becasue you cant have marijuana in moderation. Plus it leads to harder stuff.
  • This is just my opinion and speaking from experience that I think alcohol is much worse than Pot. Here we go with the DR's.
  • It seems to make people stupid.
  • Depends on the effect of the drug on the person and how much they used, for how long, and so forth. Both have the potential to cause problems, but I don't think marijuana is as immediately toxic as alcohol in excess. People can be addicted to both drugs. Either drug will impair your physical and mental abilities. Either drug may be considered a 'gateway' drug to further abuse. (Though using either one does not necessarily lead to others.) Either drug can have long term adverse effects on your health. Studies show that both substances are apparently useful in the medical community. I don't use, nor do I condone the use of, marijuana at all. However I'm not sure marijuana is any more intrinsically dangerous than alcohol beyond what I've stated above, possibly less if you consider the immediate toxic effects of alcohol poisoning. And before anyone else makes any comments in reply, I'm not really interested in hearing any justification for legalizing marijuana or hearing how it's not dangerous, and so forth. Rest assured that I HAVE looked into this and I either flat out do not agree with you on these subjects, or I have at least found no convincing evidence of sufficient weight to support agreeing with you on these subjects. Personally, if you want to smoke marijuana, you will do so regardless of my beliefs and you will do so because you enjoy it and not for any other reason. (The few medically directed reasons not withstanding, of course.)
  • Its illegal, so yes
  • All other things being equal, and disregarding the various laws regarding both, then I think marijuanna is less harmful. You rarely see someone stoned getting aggressive, depressed, or taking stupid risks. Plus, it's almost impossible to overdose on, whereas you can easily kill yourself with alcohol in a few hours. But in moderation, and used wisely and safely, I don't think either one is very harmful.
  • But of course! Marijuana is illegal. Alcohol is not!
  • Not for your body I don't think, but it's definitely worse for you other ways. Getting caught with it can put you in a world of hurt, while drinking only comes with the possibility of hangover.
  • I don't know if its any worse, but it's still bad. I hate high people. They are annoying. Ditto with drunk people.
  • Only an hour ago you said "Quality control of marijuana, at the moment, is non-existant. FACT" (FYI its spelled existent) only to say that its now HERE, but lacking. What else do you THINK you know?
  • Simply put, Alcohol is far more dangerous than marijuana. There is no disputing it. On the basis of alcohol-related traffic fatalities alone there is no contest. Include in the argument as well that you can overdose on alcohol very easily or that alcohol is the #1 date-rape drug available and you start to get a clearer picture. Both are relatively benign in small quantities, but at high quantities Alcohol is far, far more deadly.
  • HELL NO!!! Marijuana never killed nobody for quiting cold turkey!!
  • no its not in any way, alcahol is a poison, and it IS harmful and addicting, marijuana, however, it none of those things.
  • Pot is much better and for those who are not quite sure how they feel about pot.... Well fot some convincing evidence supporting pot the marujuana documentary on youtube it is an 11 part video that I watched because my boyfriend and I am have a much more clear view on the subject, if your interested. Everyone should watch it if you haven't.
  • Alcohol is far more destructive than marijuana.
