If Sunday is the "Week-End", why don't calendars have Sunday all the way on the right side, and Monday on the left?

I never thought of that....Maybe there is a religious basis for this tradition. The Sabbath is the 7th day, and it is the Saturday, so it is supposed to be the final day. So, we start counting Sunday as the first day from left to right....

good question! the sabbath, seventh day, is saturday in the jewish tradition. i thought that sunday was the sabbath in the christian tradition. if i'm correct here, maybe calendar makers are mostly jewish? sounds kooky, but, hey, i'm puzzled, too...
