I'm shopping around for an artist because I'm terrified that whoever does my kanji will screw it up, but that is first-timer fear I guess. All the friends of mine that are ink'd go back for more, always. So it is addictive
-
Yes it is definitly addicting! I crave another big time.. the first one I got I had to get another one real quick.. I'm fighting the urge until i could afford it!
-
After a while the buzz of a tattoo gun becomes a very soothing sound...
-
With every tattoo I get, I want the next one even more.
-
I crave getting mine removed !
-
Meh, not really. I got one and I'm kind of over it.
-
in a word - YES!
-
A former co-worker dared me to get a tattoo, saying that once you get one, you can't stop and have to get more. You can't get just one. I told him I'd do him one better and not get a tattoo and prove one could even stop at zero. I won! :-)

its absolutely amazing. don't know how to describe it, but its such a rush. its hurts, but its like stress relieving with a rush at the same time. whoa man you always want another after the first one.
-
haha yeah for me. My first tattoo was the most painful experience of my life, but 4 weeks later, i was back in the shop getting another one... which didn't hurt as much
-
I want to get my next one terribly. Before I got my first one, I researched about the pain, and someone described the feeling was the same as cutting yourself. I agree with that description, and that may be the reason it is addictive. The pain causes adrenaline and endorphins in your body to go crazy. Mid-way through mine, I was laughing because it was so soothing. I couldn't believe I was worried about the pain.
-
Yes. For me it helps me deal with the emotional pain I'm feeling. I guess it's like why some people cut, but it's a bit more socialy accepted. lol.
