These types of problems are hard to diagnose online, but it may be something as simple as a plugged fuel filter. A weak fuel pump would also produce these symptoms, as well as a bad throttle position sensor. I'd start with the filter, since this needs to be changed as part of routine maintenance anyway. It's quite possible that it's letting enough fuel through at idle, but can't handle any demand for more.
