Is it safe to download music from a free site if I have good anti virus protection, and if so what site is a good one?

If the music is free, it is either from no-name bands or it is illegal. Oftentimes you're safe from viruses but you could be infringing the property rights of the artists and could be sued for thousands. I am going to recommend last.fm or pandora.com for good, free music that's available for your computer.

I've been downloading from Limewire ever since I had a computer and I've never had any problems.
