  • Don't bother they can have my 50 cents.
  • We live out in the country so we can burn our trash, which is great, I don't have to worry about that. I make sure that any papers I recycle do not have our name, address, etc. on them.
  • I had blank checks on an account I had closed out 7 years before stolen from my trash and used to the tune of $950..the merchants ate it..I did not. I was naive enough to think that a closed account meant no store would honor it..the check is put through a little machine and I thought that little machine checked the authenticity of the check..totally wrong. I had to file a police report..it was, after all, stolen identity. We bought a shedder immediately thereafter and we shred everything..even "occupant" if it has our address. We go through magazines and shred the little order cards with your name and address on them. It was a miserable time. Shredders good...not shredding bad! ::)
  • Yes, actually. Especially since I've never bothered to ask credit card companies to stop sending me credit card advance checks, credit card solicitations, etc. My trash would be a free ticket to money and credit and a new identity if I didn't. Check out http://www.myrisk.com for more info.
