  • I honestly don't know. That is why I took my old pc to my friendly neighborhood pc geek and he transferred all my files..intact, to my new Dell with Windows 2007. (smile). It only cost me sixty bucks. He is my "friend".
  • You can install your copy of Microsoft Office 97 onto a more modern PC. If you don't still have the installation disc you can download Open Office for free and it will read all your MS Office files: http://www.openoffice.org/ The easiest way to transfer the files would be to install the old drive into the new PC as a slave drive.
