  • I know dog meat in Korea is considered a delicacy. It is not something the general population eats on a daily basis. Korean culture doesn't include animals like dogs as pets too often. They are viewed as dirty animals that shouldn't be in the home.

  • Some Koreans eat dog (not regularly or frequently), but the majority don't. I know of many Korean families who have NEVER eaten dog, and have dogs just like we do as pets. There is a misconception/stereotype that all Koreans eat dogs. Not true at all. And selling dog meat has been illegal in Korea since 1984.
