If you have a CD at a bank and you took out a loan for a car where you had the CD. You did not pay the loan off, however it was charged off, can the bank keep you CD?

I doubt it, unless you specifically used the account as collateral... but if the car goes into collection they might be able to sue you for it.... i'd move it to another bank...
