Help answer this question below.

You often see male animals fighting for the right to mate with the females, often risking their lives to do so. Do any males of any species ever just think 'stuff all this fighting im just going to go eat grass and live a happy and safe life'?

    Probably some of the human species males...
    And, some animals when realized they are defeated, even if they may not "think".

    Mating is imperative for the survival of the species. When instinct "clicks" the animal just go for it.
