... times change, and actions should at least try to keep up ... my family only passes down knowledge & information of how things were done in the past, and how doing those things have changed over time, with an expectation that there will be more changes in the future ... we also pass down objects ... I have a handed down Viking dagger that was made by one of my ancestors in 852 A.D., and the written records written by my ancestors, that show when and to whom it has been passed to over the centuries.
