well i just got a ultrasound on my maltese and i was told she has atleast five. Does anyone else have a maltese that has had atleast five and did they all survive?

I just took my 4lb Maltese to the vet just the other day, and found out she is having a litter of 7 to 8 puppies(per x-ray taken). Wow!! this is such an unplanned pregnancy (the daddy is a small Maltese as well weighs 6lb). :0/ I really didn't have this planned, and really didn't want her to have puppies this soon.

Just took my Maltese to vet. She is 38 days into her pregnancy. The Vet said 5 possible 6. I was shocked. I will be having a xray done in 2 weeks to verify and make sure everything is okay.. Happy, Happy I am.. Was planned..
