If the reason to vote against him or to vote for him is race, then whatever the number is, it's too high!

I agree with "wide awake". I'm sure he will get alot more vote for being black than he will lose. Oprah is a good example of someone who has NEVER before shown any interest in politics yet suddenly she is all for Obama. His policies are not so different than some who have run before him but she has been promoting him for some time now. Which can only lead me to believe it has little to do with the issues and A LOT to do with the fact that he is black. Not to say there aren't some who won't vote for him specifically because of his color but she is a prime example of someone who is only supporting him for the color of his skin. No doubt this will be one of the biggest voter turn-outs in recent history and it will be because there is a black canidate. Surely there are many black people who felt in the past elections that it made no difference to them which "old white guy" won. I myself am voting republican because they are the ones known for lower taxes & smaller government. I just pray everyone votes on the issues, not the color of the canidates skin!
